Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Ashley Johnson, I am 21 years old, and I grew up in a small town, Evergreen, Colorado. About four years ago, when I was in high school, my family moved to Bradenton, Florida, which is where I live now.
Some fun facts about me:
- Pho is my favorite food
- Birds are my favorite animal
- Purple is my favorite color
- Meyers-Briggs: INFP
- Enneagram: 4w5
- I love the beach
- I LOVE coffee 🙂
Now that the serious stuff is out of the way, I would love to share with you a little bit about how God has led me here, what he has been speaking to me, and the heart that he has shared with me for his people. This is actually my second rendition of the “about me” post, because God has changed my heart so much during these last few months in quarantine, I really felt like it needed an update.
The last few years have been about God pulling me out of the world, out of the past, and working with me through the heavy stuff that comes along with that. Through this I have known Jesus as my best friend, and have been able to see how much he loves me, and how much I need him. If I know one thing, it’s that God’s love is truly powerful, and truly greater than anything that tries to oppose it. I couldn’t imagine anything better than getting to know this love deeper and allowing God to express it through me, while also making new friends and traveling the world with them for this purpose.
I always loved to travel, and always craved adventure, although I never saw myself doing missions up until the moment God told me to go on this specific trip. He spoke so clearly and laid out the path so simply, I had no question or doubt about it. It became a definite part of my life so easily. Even through everything going on in the world now, I 100% believe that God called this mission, and that he will be faithful to keep his word.
I think one thing everyone can agree on is that this world is in need of a revival. The world is in a spiritual drought, and desperately needs to drink from God’s kindness, goodness, and love. When I feel God’s heart for those who are lost and hurting, it’s like my heart is being crushed. And I know that’s barely anything compared to what God feels. The good news is, where there’s a need, God is waiting to fulfill it. And he wants to.
I know I am going to see God fill hearts, and change lives, including my own. I’m so thankful to be coming into this season where God can work through me to share his heart, his word, and his perfect love.
Some scriptures God’s brought me to:
- Hebrews 12:1-4
- Ezekiel 37
- Psalm 91
- Psalm 107
- Isaiah 35
- Esther 4:14
- Book of Nehemiah
Thank you for taking the time to read about me! I really appreciate your prayers and support, and I am so excited to go forward in this journey together!
Lots of love,
Ashley 🙂
